Honor Magic Is Here with Some Cool Twists

This week, Honor has officially and finally launched its Honor Magic in China. The company claims that Magic is a futuristic device. Experts are of the opinion that going by the appearance of Magic; it does looks like a device from the future. But some people think that the affect might be because of space background that the company is using. Huawei as a company is famous for its Leica-branded mobile phones that are targeted towards high end users. But the company’s e-commerce segment is known for the production of pocket friendly yet entertaining gadgets such as the Note 8 and 8. The Huawei CEO, Richard Yu was quoted as saying that Magic is one of their experimental devices which help them in pre-evaluating the unknown technologies of the future.

Talking about the Honor Magic’s specifications, they come in Chinese. Until people are familiar with the language, they should simply be relying on the translation by Android Authority. Magic comes with a 5 inch AMOLED screen and runs on Android 6.0. It features a 12 MP dual lens primary camera while the 8 MP front camera is pretty standard for the selfie addicts. The phone boasts of Huawei Kirin 950 processor that is backed by a 2,900mAh battery. The phone is packed with 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage.

People can choose the Magic from two colour options. The options include porcelain white and golden black. The phone comes with the same features that its competitors boast of. These features include a fingerprint sensor, an ambient light sensor, a gyroscope, a proximity sensor and a phone status indicator as well as a compass. Apart from the aforementioned regular features, the phone also packs some unique attributes. These attributes are possible because of the hardware and software amalgamation.



 

There is a thing called the ‘Wise Screen’ that is known to rely on the sensor located onto the Magic’s frame as well as the infrared sensor positioned inside of the front camera. When anyone picks up the Honor Magic; the camera and the sensor start working simultaneously for recognizing the owner’s eyes and hands. The recognition is used for unlocking the phone screen.  An almost same feature is called the ‘FaceCode Intelligent Recognition’ which forces the mobile phone only to display message notifications when it is done recognizing the individual holding the device.

As per the aforementioned specifications, Magic runs on Android but it also packs in an additional software layer termed as Magic Live. The aforementioned feature relies on the AI for performing particular tasks. Honor was quoted as saying that Magic is capable of recognizing when the user is driving automatically. The phone then prompts the user for switching the device to its driving mode. In case, a user makes use of the phone for booking a cab, the driver’s plate number license will be exhibited on the phone’s display below the locked screen mode. Thus, all in all, Magic is bundle that packs in interesting upgrades for user experience and fresh design mixed with smarter assistant.
